You will be prompted for the installation.

When you click ‘Install’, one statistical table (really small) will be created in the msdb database. Also, a job will be scheduled for every hour. That job records some counters in that table. It is non-intrusive and is not resource-consuming. Just one small ‘insert’.

 SQL server Agent must be running – it is a requirement.
