Newly recorded events are displayed in the monitor log every time it refreshes. To view details of and information on a logged event, click on and highlight the record in the monitor grid. This will display a graph in the Lock Dependencies pane depicting the occurrence of the event, including all elements (SPID, object, execution call, wait type) involved in the event.
